Hospital Overcharges

There has been a lot in the news lately about how hospital billing errors and overcharges. And it isn't surprising, all those charges collected daily from those little stickers affixed to the item. Date entry alone could account for many many errors, but certainly not all of them.



To put a dollar figure on it fraud alone accounts for $51 BILLION a year. That doesn't account for the errors that aren't detected. Put some of those funds back where they belong, in your pocket.

Doris, You are absolutely correct! Hospitals have no consumer oversight and nobody watching what they do, however, with a $1.6 Trillion a year business, some form of abuse takes place. Audits conducted by certified medical bill advocates have shown HUGE amounts of overcharging...be it mistakes or fraud, I cannot say.
